How To Overcome Your Self-Limiting Beliefs By Putting Yourself Out There.

NatGeo featured my photo even though I am not a photographer.

It was around September 2020 when I got to know about NatGeo Traveller’s Daily Shot photo contests. In today’s digital world, NatGeo’s short stories, blogs, and photos transport you to another place and time, reminding you about the beauty that is in this world.

I sprang onto the chance to share my amateur photos for a chance to get featured on NatGeo’s Instagram with over 1m followers. I began submitting photos, some doctored some not so doctored, for the contests they ran.

For the first theme “Outside Inside” I submitted a photo and even made it to the shortlist. But, that’s about how far I made it. Yet, through the application process, I revised and reminisced a photo of Carcassonne — a trip I had made to the little wine country back in 2016.

For just that evening, I went back in time, sipping wine with my IESE classmates and fellow wine lovers, cherishing the time I spent in Europe studying wine and becoming a Sommelier. Feels like another lifetime, now!
